Ingredients
- 1 large sweet onion
- 2 eggs
- ¼ cup Toby’s Jalapeño Ranch Dressing & Dip
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 tsp salt & pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp paprika
- ¼ tsp cumin
- ½ cup flour, as needed
- ¼ cup panko bread crumbs
Instructions
Gather all ingredients. Slice 1 inch off the top of the onion and peel the dried layers off. Rinse the onion and dry. Place on the cutting board roots side up and slice 8 cuts through leaving the onion intact. Place root side down on a plate and refrigerate for 10 minutes to let it open up.
Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine eggs, Toby’s Jalapeño Ranch Dressing & Dip, milk, salt & pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cumin. Mix well until fully combined. Add in flour slowly and mix as needed for batter consistency.
Remove onion from fridge and coat in flour. Dip in batter and coat with breadcrumbs, then dip in the batter again.
Chill onion in the fridge while the air fryer preheats to 400 F. Grease basket and cook onion in the air fryer for 15 minutes until crispy golden brown.
