- Fresh jalapeño, thinly sliced
- Tomato or cherry tomatoes, thinly sliced
- Microgreens or sprouts
- Toby’s Original Plant Based Dip & Spread
- Flaky salt and pepper, to taste
This simple and delicious recipe is a long time favorite of Toby’s son, Jonah. It’s a quick and easy recipe with all the nutrients and flavors to start your day or keep that energy up. Try with our suggested toppings or customize it and make it your own! To begin preparing your Plant Based Toasted Bagel, gather all of the ingredients. Toast the bagel or your favorite bread until lightly golden or to your desired toastyness.
Slather over the bagel or toast with a hearty serving of Toby’s Original Plant Based Dip & Spread on one side of the bread. Then, top it with some thinly sliced jalapeño and tomato.
Next, add on some fresh microgreens, we used alfalfa sprouts. Try out different combos of toppings for a bagel to your taste – try cucumber, carrots, onion, lettuce, or chives. Finish off the bagel with a sprinkle of some flaky salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy!
