Ingredients
- 1 medium head of cauliflower
- 3 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp. turmeric, ground
- Chives, chopped, to garnish
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Toby’s Feta Cheese Dressing & Dip
Instructions
To begin preparing your Roasted Cauliflower Steak, gather all of the ingredients. Remove the outer leaves from the cauliflower and trim the stem down. Resting cauliflower on its stem, cut in half from top to bottom, creating two pieces with the stem attached. Trim off the outer edge of each piece to create two 1 1/2 inch thick steaks. Save the trimmed florets for another recipe or make cauliflower rice!
Heat 2 tbsp. of olive oil in a large skillet on medium-high. Cook cauliflower for around 4 minutes and then season with turmeric, salt, and pepper. Add the remaining 1 tbsp. olive oil to pan, flip cauliflower, and continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
Next, transfer the cauliflower steaks to an oven safe pan. Roast in the oven just until the stems are tender when pierced, 8–12 minutes. Remove and allow to cool slightly.
To serve, spread a generous amount of Toby’s Feta Cheese Dressing on a dish. Plate the cauliflower steak on top of the Dressing. Garnish with freshly chopped chives and flaky salt. Enjoy your Roasted Cauliflower Steak!
