Ingredients
- 8 oz. lump crab meat
- 1 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, shredded or grated
- 6 oz. cream cheese, softened to room temp
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. smoked paprika powder
- 1 tsp. Old Bay seasoning
- 2 tsp. lemon juice, fresh
- 1 tsp. lemon zest
- 1 tbsp. chives, chopped, plus more to garnish
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Toby’s Blue Cheese Dressing & Dip
Instructions
Gather all ingredients. Heat oven to 400 degrees F.
In a large bowl, mix together the panko bread crumbs, garlic powder, smoked paprika, Old Bay seasoning, lemon juice, lemon zest, chopped chives, salt, and pepper. Then, add crab meat, parmesan cheese, sour cream, cream cheese, mayonnaise, and egg. Gently mix until thoroughly combined.
Next, spoon 1-2 tablespoons of the crab mixture onto a greased, nonstick, or parchment paper lined baking sheet, forming bite sized crab cakes. Repeat this step until you’ve scooped out all the mixture. Note: a melon baller utensil would be perfect for making bite-sized portions.
Bake until the edges of each crab cake bite begin to turn golden, around 14-18 minutes. Serve crab cake bites warm or allow them to cool to room temperature.
Garnish with chopped chives and fresh lemon wedges. Serve with Toby’s Blue Cheese Dressing & Dip. Enjoy your Bite-Sized Crab Cakes!
