Ingredients
Steak
- 1 8oz Flank Steak, room temperature
- ½ tsp Salt & pepper, to taste
- ¼ tsp Dried thyme
- ¼ tsp Dried oregano
- ¼ tsp Dried rosemary
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp Olive oil
- 1 tbsp Unsalted butter
Fixings
- ½ cup Kale, chopped
- 1 cup Leaf lettuce, chopped
- 1 Avocado, sliced
- ¼ cup cucumber, thinly sliced
- ¼ cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- Toby’s Blue Cheese Dressing & Dip
- 1 tbsp fresh chives, sliced
- 2 Lime wedges
Instructions
Gather all ingredients. Heat a medium sized skillet over medium high heat. Combine salt & pepper, thyme, oregano, rosemary, and garlic powder and rub the seasoning mixture on both sides of the steak.
Cook steak in the skillet for 10 minutes, flipping every minute and basting continually with butter to get and even sear. This will cook the steak medium rare – add 2 more minutes of cooking time for medium, 4 minutes for medium well, or 6 minutes for well done.
Remove from the skillet to a plate and let rest for 10 minutes. Don’t skip this step!
Serve the steak sliced over a salad of kale and lettuce. Top with avocado, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and a hearty serving of Toby’s Blue Cheese Dressing & Dip. Garnish with fresh chives and a lime wedge. Enjoy your Flank Steak Salad!
